Vault Inventory Audit
Purpose
When a family or small partnership holds assets across multiple hardware wallets, metal backups, and geographically separated vaults, a single checkpoint is not enough. The Vault Inventory Audit maps every device, records balance summaries at each location, and produces a master inventory document suitable for trustee review.
Scope
- Catalog of all hardware wallet models and physical labels
- Balance summaries read from each device screen
- Documentation of backup storage method (metal plate, paper in safe, etc.) without opening sealed containers
- Variance notes if totals differ from client-provided expectations
- Recommendations for checkpoint frequency (informational only)
Deliverable
A bound inventory report with device table, balance summary page, and analyst attestation. Digital copies are not provided unless specifically requested; most clients prefer a physical document stored with their estate papers.
Timeline
Scheduling typically requires two weeks’ notice. The on-site visit takes four to six hours depending on device count. Final report delivery within five business days of the visit.
