Testimonials and case notes from cold storage holders who have used Toolkit Elm Path checkpoint reporting.
What clients say
"I needed something my solicitor could read without learning about UTXOs. The checkpoint report listed each device by the label I put on the case and the balance shown that afternoon. Straightforward, though I wish the office had Saturday morning slots more often."
"After our first vault audit, my wife finally understood where the backups live. Yuna documented six devices across two apartments without ever asking us to plug anything in. The bound report now sits in our safe with the insurance papers."
"The quarterly retainer costs more than doing it myself, but I travel constantly and cannot always verify devices on the same day. Having a fixed appointment forces the review. One quarter a device was off by a small amount from a transfer I forgot—I appreciated the variance note in the report."
"Min-seok spent extra time explaining how the report differs from an exchange statement. I am still learning self-custody, and the session felt patient rather than rushed."
Case note: Trustee handover
A family office in Jongno referred us to document a father’s cold storage before transferring oversight to his daughter. We conducted a Vault Inventory Audit across two safes, recorded balances on four Ledger devices and one Coldcard, and produced a master inventory the trustee attached to the estate file. The daughter now holds quarterly retainer sessions to maintain continuity. Total engagement: one audit plus two quarterly checkpoints to date.
Case note: Post-migration verification
A client migrated funds from an old Trezor to a new device and wanted a checkpoint dated the week of completion. We verified both devices showed expected totals, noted the migration date in the report, and compared against their prior year’s checkpoint. The client filed the report with their US tax preparer alongside other documentation.
