Why checkpoints matter

Hardware wallets do not mail monthly statements. Without a periodic record, trustees, accountants, and family members lack a neutral document describing what a vault held on a given date. Our checkpoint process creates that record through in-person verification.

The five stages

1. Intake — You submit device count, preferred date, and report type. We send a preparation checklist. No seed phrases or private keys are requested at any stage.
2. Arrival — You bring charged devices to our Mapo office or we travel to your secured location within Seoul metro. Devices remain offline throughout.
3. Screen verification — An analyst witnesses each device screen displaying balance summaries. We record model, your physical label, and denomination totals.
4. Comparison — If a prior Toolkit Elm Path report exists, we note variances in plain language. Unexpected differences are flagged for your review before we finalize.
5. Report delivery — A signed paper report is prepared within three business days. Rush delivery is available. The report is yours to store with estate papers or share with advisors.

What we never do

• Connect your hardware to the internet during a session
• Request recovery phrases, PINs, or private keys
• Sign transactions or move assets on your behalf
• Store copies of your report beyond the delivery period unless you request secure archival

Scheduling

Office appointments are available Tuesday through Saturday. On-site visits require one week notice. Retainer clients receive priority scheduling windows.
